Pour ma dernière semaine en Australie j’ai voulu passé du temps avec
mes amies du bout du monde, car le laps de temps d’ici nos prochaines
retrouvailles pourrait bien être long.
For my last week in Australia i wanted to spend
time with my friends from the other part of the world, because who knows when
we’ll be able to see each other again !
Direction the Blue Mountains to meet Ruth, who
hosted me in her house build by one of the founder of Australia, which means in
1918. Ok, I agree the date seems really close, but the house and her history is
actually pretty cool. First because it’s really nice, all in wood with the bush
as garden, secondly because it was owned by the guys who succeed to bring
Australia from a confederation to a federation (the moment where studying
political science is actually exciting!).
Ruth is living in a really cute area, the Blue
Mountains, on hour away from Sydney, and particularly famous for “the 3
sisters”, three rocks being apart of the rest of the mountains. It’s really
nice, and for one more time in Australia from there the nature seems to go
straight on, without any interruption for kilometers and kilometers !
I was also very happy to discover this place
during several places, which gave me the opportunity to go away from the main
turistically places, and enjoying a more real Australian way of life.
After those couple of walks and nature
watching, I came back to Sanjana’s place in Sydney to properly discover this
city! And I really liked it; during the four days I spend there I took all my
time to walk around, take random ferries, watching behaviors of the
inhabitants… And for sure, the everyday life should be much easier than in
Paris, with all the sun and beaches so near ! Especially when I walked around Bondi
and I’ve seen around twenty dolphins, with some jumping to say hi (yes, baby
Clara style!).
I discovered different areas that I liked in
Sydney, and other where I get lost trying to find their interest. Above every
thing I loved staring at the Opera from the Opera Bar, having cocktails, chips
and chocolate during the sunset. I also finished by appreciate the Harbour
Bridge, which absolutely not guaranteed at the beginning.
My last moments in Australia were a perfect
final point to my Australia trip, and being with friends for the last day
before a new departure also helped me to feel free and confident about all the
new adventures coming for me in New Zealand!
